Since 1959, the Heart Foundation have invested the equivalent of over $872 million (in today’s dollars)* towards research into the cause, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart disease.
In 2026, we’re awarding 13.7 million dollars to fund innovative heart health research. By pushing boundaries and exploring new treatments, our research heroes are working to help save lives and make heart disease history.
We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved. But heart disease remains one of Australia’s biggest killers and largest health burdens, so our mission continues.
