Heart Week is Australia’s national heart health awareness week held in May each year.
It provides an opportunity for the Australian public and health professionals to start a conversation about heart health and take positive steps to reduce their risk of heart disease.
Heart Week 2025 was held from 5 – 11 May, with health professionals across the country encouraging people to understand their risk of heart disease and book a Heart Health Check with their GP. Campaign efforts helped us reach over 15 million people across Australia, with over 41,000 Heart Health Checks MBS item claims, showing strong engagement with Heart Week messaging.
Check out the creative ways healthcare teams and workplaces throughout Australia helped spread awareness in support of #HeartWeek2025.
