Rowena Newman

Rowena Newman is a senior executive leader with more than 25 years experience in the corporate sector, including leading OTC healthcare brands across Australia, the USA, UK and Europe. Rowena graduated from the University of Sydney with a BSc. (Hons1) and she has completed the Company Director’s Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Rowena is the Chair of Council for the Women’s College within the University of Sydney where she also leads the marketing working group. In addition Rowena has many years experience in the management of sporting teams and clubs.

Rowena has been a vocal advocate for the Heart Foundation since surviving a sudden cardiac arrest and being diagnosed with coronary artery disease in 2020, including completing patient advocacy training with Hearts4Heart. When it comes to cardiac rehabilitation, Rowena walks the talk, crediting the cardiac rehabilitation program with getting her back on her feet, she has completed the gruelling 50km route of Coastrek for the past several years.
