The Heart Foundation Community

We need your opinion, experience and skills to help us improve the heart health of all Australians.

The Heart Foundation needs your opinion, experience and skills to help us improve the heart health of all Australians. We truly value the involvement of members of the public whether you have been affected by heart disease, care for someone with a heart condition, are a donor or simply share our passion for a healthier Australia. Your insight can help us continuously improve our work.

There are many ways you can get involved with us

  • Participating in surveys, group discussions and research
  • Providing feedback on our projects and campaigns
  • Joining a project committee or advisory group
  • Sharing your experience of heart disease
  • Volunteering your time with us in our offices or in the community

People want to take part in Community activities for many reasons

  • To improve healthcare for others, as well as giving hope for future generations
  • To help researchers learn important new information
  • To learn more about our work
  • To share valuable feedback and insight which can improve heart health programs
  • To use your experience to advocate for others

Current Opportunities

Expressions of interest are currently open to take part in the work of our Research Committees as Consumer Representatives. We are seeking:

  • people who have lived experience of heart disease
  • those caring for people living with heart disease
  • health professionals

to join us to review a number of research applications and provide their feedback. Training will be provided for this opportunity.

Further opportunities will open soon to provide feedback on how your GP could improve communications with you regarding having a heart health check (for those aged 45+ - 74yrs without personal experience of heart disease).

You can decide your own level of involvement and which activities you would like to take part in. You can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

If you'd like to join the Heart Foundation Community tell us more about yourself and what you’d like to do. We would love to hear from you.
