About the SA CVRN Showcase and Awards
The SA CVRN Showcase and Awards is South Australia's premier annual cardiovascular research celebration, bringing together researchers, clinicians, people with lived experience, health sector representatives, industry partners and supporters to recognise excellence across the cardiovascular research community.
Join us for an evening of networking, inspiration and recognition as we showcase outstanding achievements in cardiovascular research and celebrate the researchers driving innovation and impact across South Australia.

The 2026 SA CVRN Showcase and Awards will feature invited speakers who are recognised leaders in cardiovascular research, innovation and translation.
Professor Jagat Narula
President, World Heart Federation
An internationally recognised physician-scientist and leader in academic medicine, Professor Narula has made significant contributions to cardiovascular research and global heart health. His pioneering work advanced understanding of myocardial apoptosis and vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques associated with acute coronary syndromes.
Associate Professor Saurabh Kumar
Westmead Hospital and University of Sydney
A nationally and internationally recognised cardiologist, interventional electrophysiologist and clinician-scientist, A/Prof. Kumar specialises in complex heart rhythm disorders. His expertise includes atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and cardiac device implantation, with a particular focus on complex catheter ablation procedures and advancing arrhythmia care.
Tanya Hall
CEO, Hearts4heart
Tanya Hall is Founder and CEO of Hearts4heart, a national cardiac patient advocacy organisation. A passionate advocate for early detection, equitable access to evidence-based therapies and improved heart health outcomes, she works closely with clinicians, researchers and policymakers to drive meaningful change for people living with heart disease.
