Non-drug treatments like a healthy diet, exercise, and quitting smoking are effective in improving cardiovascular health but are less known, promoted, and used than drug treatments. Lack of practical information and ease of prescription are key barriers limiting clinicians' and patients' use of non-drug treatments. This project will co-design and pilot test whether providing clinicians with an electronic prescribing tool and patients with user-centred resources, increases the use of non-drug treatments for cardiovascular disease in primary care and improve patients' cardiovascular health.
