A miniaturized wearable device for early-stage screening of vital signals for education...
The health and well-being of vulnerable people such as those in aged care facilities, neonatal care, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living in remote areas will improve significantly with the implementation of seamless and unassisted monitoring of clinically relevant cardiovascular signals. The proposed work aims to develop a cyber-secured, battery-free, and wireless electrocardiogram (ECG) system for real-time cardiovascular monitoring on-site by the user and remotely by a healthcare professional for education and support. Hence, this device will not only offer an effective early-stage detection process for preventive heart disease management but also solve the manufacturing challenge of making a standalone device vital for the MedTech Industry.
