An AED can help save lives

During a cardiac arrest, your quick action can give someone the best chance of survival. Do you know what an AED is and how Shockingly Simple they are to use?

A united effort to help save lives

Heart of the Nation was founded in 2020 by Greg Page, the original Yellow Wiggle, following his own sudden cardiac arrest during a performance. Saved by the quick action of bystanders using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and an automated external defibrillator (AED), Greg was inspired to raise awareness and improve access to AEDs across Australia.

Heart of the Nation is a flagship program within the Heart Foundation, ensuring the continuation and expansion of the life-saving legacy that the charity built. This gave Heart of the Nation’s programs access to the national reach and expertise of the Heart Foundation, helping to improve sudden cardiac arrest survival rates throughout Australia.
