Direct Debit Request

You agree to this Direct Debit Request Service Agreement (Agreement) below and this Direct Debit Request (DDR), and authorise the National Heart Foundation of Australia ABN 98 008 419 761 Direct Debit User ID 404532 ("NHF") to debit your account through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System. You warrant that you are an account holder on the account listed above.

Direct Debit Request Service Agreement

1. This Direct Debit Services Agreement (Agreement) sets out the terms and conditions on which National Heart Foundation of Australia ABN 98 008 419 761 (“NHF, we, our, us”) accept and process your DDR to debit the nominated amount from your nominated bank account in the nominated frequency.

2. We will debit the nominated bank account for the amount, frequency and commencement date as advised and authorised by you in the DDR.

3. In the event that the scheduled debit day falls on a non-business day in Victoria, the debit will be processed on the next business day.

4. NHF will issue donation receipts once your donation has been processed.

5. NHF will handle your personal information relating DDR in accordance with our Privacy Collection Notice and Privacy Policy.

6. It is your responsibility to:

  1. Ensure your nominated account details are true and correct;
  2. Ensure your nominated account can accept direct debits;
  3. Ensure that there are sufficient clear funds available in the nominated account to meet each drawing on the due date; and
  4. Advise NHF immediately if the nominated account is closed or your account details change.

7. In the event the direct debit payment is declined, your financier may charge you fees.

8. If you believe a debit has been made in error or made incorrectly, you should immediately contact NHF on 13 11 12, or email [email protected] or lodge a claim through your financial institution. NHF will notify you in writing of its determination and the amount of any adjustment that will be made to your nominated account (if any) within five business days and will arrange for your financial institution to adjust your nominated account by the applicable amount (if any). Alternatively, you can also liaise directly with your financial institution.

9. Subject to the terms and conditions of your nominated financial institution account, you may alter the direct debit drawing arrangements. Such advice should be received by NHF at least 5 business days prior to the drawing date for any of the following:

  1. Changing your nominated account number
  2. Deferring a drawing
  3. Altering a DDR schedule
  4. Cancelling the drawings completely

If you require further information, please contact NHF on 13 11 12. Alternatively, you can also contact your financial institution to attend to any changes or cancellation.

10. The details of your drawing arrangements are contained in the above Direct Debit Request.

11. If a debit is declined, NHF may re-attempt the debit on the next business day and/or contact you to arrange an alternative payment method. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your nominated financial institution account to see whether dishonour fees apply.

12. This Agreement is governed by the laws of Australia.

13. By submitting a DDR, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this Agreement.
