Tara never thought she’d be widowed with a three-month-old baby at 25.

Her husband Shane was only 27 when he died from a heart attack, with no warning.

She was left raising their baby boy Henry, alone.

Henry never had his dad there for Christmas mornings, first days of school, or first footy goals – all the moments that should have been theirs as a family.

Your gift can help give families more of life’s precious moments together.

That day seemed ordinary. “We went to the footy club and had dinner with family. When we got home, I fed Henry while Shane fed the pets outside.” Tara recalls.

“He came in and said he wasn’t feeling a hundred per cent… would I mind if he went to bed? By the time I got there, he was gone.”

Shane had no obvious heart issues. “Nobody should ever have to spend days wondering why the father of their three-month-old baby has just died,” she says.

No family should have to go through what Tara and Henry have.

Your support today can help fund life-saving research to prevent and treat heart attacks – and help give families more of life’s precious moments together.

“Shane should be here with us. I don’t want another family to go through what we went through. Your support can help give families like mine more moments together.”
