CVD and Vaccination Grant
Enhancing influenza vaccination rates for people living with CVD or at high risk of developing CVD.
The Heart Foundation has a long history of supporting ground-breaking research and continues this tradition through new programs of strategic research into identified gaps within cardiovascular disease (CVD). With emerging evidence suggesting a possible correlation between influenza vaccination and improved CVD outcomes, this Heart Foundation research grant opportunity focuses on enhancing influenza vaccination rates for people living with CVD or at high risk of developing CVD. To be successful, the research project will generate strategies and/or interventions that are practical, scalable, and clinically impactful.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Behaviour change models targeting individuals and/or the community
- Studies on influenza vaccine awareness and/or hesitancy
- Novel evidence-based technologies and strategies to increase influenza vaccination rates,
- Mechanisms for the association between influenza and increased risk of cardiovascular disease,
- Strategies that are relevant and applicable to increase influenza vaccination rates in disadvantaged populations, and
- Application of novel assessment tools that support increased influenza vaccination rates
