National Action Plan for Heart and Stroke

The national heart and stroke action plan aims to identify and prioritise action to reduce the impact of heart disease and stroke.

Public Consultation on the draft Action Plan for Heart and Stroke is now closed.

The Australian Government Department of Health will release the National Strategic Action Plan for Heart and Stroke once finalised. A copy of the final Action Plan will be available on our website.

The aim of the Action Plan is to identify and prioritise actions the Australian Government can take to reduce the impact of heart disease and stroke on the individual, community and health care system, and achieve better outcomes for Australians affected.
