Sanitarium
Our partnership with Sanitarium is based on our vision of better health for all Australians.

Today, consumers are faced with lots of conflicting advice on what is a 'healthy, balanced diet'. And an important part of our work is helping Australians prevent or manage risk factors for heart disease by making appropriate lifestyle changes.
Many Australians are overweight and one in three Australians has high cholesterol - one of the leading risk factors for heart disease. High cholesterol can lead to blockages in arteries that can cause heart attacks and strokes.
Plant sterols can lower cholesterol. They are found naturally in fruit, vegetables, nuts and wholegrains. But it is very difficult for the average Australian to consume high enough levels of plant sterols to make a difference to their cholesterol levels.
Sanitarium’s new Weet-Bix Cholesterol-Lowering offers consumers two grams of plant sterols per serve, which clinical evidence has shown can lower ‘bad’ cholesterol, as part of a healthy diet.
Weet-Bix Cholesterol Lowering is the first breakfast cereal in Australia to offer that level of plant sterols per serve.
For people who have high cholesterol, plant sterols in this form are a simple way to help lower high cholesterol and therefore their risk of developing heart disease.
We congratulate Sanitarium for having developed this innovative way to make plant sterols more readily available to consumers.
