In 2012, we are hoping to raise a massive $5,000,000 with the help of over 120,000 volunteer collectors. Funds raised during the annual Doorknock Appeal are used by the Heart Foundation to champion the hearts of Australians by funding world-class research, supporting health professionals and promoting health in the community.

We're now recruiting volunteers for the 2012 Doorknock Appeal and need your help! Can you spare a few hours during the Doorknock Appeal period (listed for your state above) to visit homes in your local area? We'd love for you to join our Doorknock team to help us with this year's collection!

We'll contact you in June to confirm your registration and collection area details. Your official volunteer collector pack will be sent to you late in August...just in time for you to begin collecting!
You may like to talk to a friend or family member and volunteer together. What a great way to spend some time together and enjoy a spring walk around your neighbourhood.
Three good reasons to support the Doorknock Appeal
1. Cardiovascular disease remains the biggest killer of Australians - killing 46,000 people each year.
2. Cardiovascular disease claims an Australian life every 11 minutes.
3. Two out of three Australian families are affected by cardiovascular disease.
You can take part by either volunteering to be a collector, or by digging deep when someone knocks on your door in September. Or make a donation online.
