The Heart Foundation provides speakers through its Community Speakers Program to community groups seeking information about cardiovascular health.
Why have a presentation about heart health?
Community speakers can inspire your group members to improve their heart health, which is vital considering that cardiovascular disease affects two out of three Australian families and claims an Australian life every 11 minutes.
Our community speakers provide basic information on a number of topics including:
- blood pressure and cholesterol
- warning signs of heart attack
- nutrition and physical activity
We currently have speakers available in Queensland and in Perth, Western Australia. We will have speakers available in other locations soon. Stay tuned!
To book a speaker or express your interest in having a speaker present, please contact your local Heart Foundation office or call 1300 55 02 82.
The presentation material has been developed for general information and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice. Please consult your health care provider if you have or suspect you have, a health problem.
