Our Healthy Heart Forums allow us the opportunity to update our generous donors and supporters on the lifesaving work of the Heart Foundation and to provide an overview on how donations are being spent to fight cardiovascular disease in Australia.
Our special guest speakers will be Tony Thirlwell OAM, Heart Foundation CEO - NSW who will give an overview of the Heart Foundation's vital work into cardiovascular disease. Tony will be joined by Heart Foundation researcher, Professor Anthony Okeley, will discuss how sitting can be a killer and the importance of remaining active. His research looks at how sitting less helps to reduce the risk of health problems in later life, as well as the importance of promoting physical activity for future generations.
We are asking all guest to wear something Red to the forum as part of Go Red for Women campaign. You can find more about that here.
There will also be a special demonstration by our Heartmoves staff to help get your heart moving!
A healthy morning tea will be provided where you can meet the speakers, staff and volunteers.
