Park Walks 2010

Heart Foundation Walking - Park Walks encourages community members to participate in free monthly walks led by Heart Foundation Walking volunteers Walk Organisers or Friends of the Parks volunteers.

The aim of Park Walks is to encourage people to enjoy themselves in their natural environment, including national parks and other protected areas, such as botanic gardens. These protected areas are not just vital for maintaining the essential systems of life but are the perfect place to improve health and well being.

Park Walks is a joint initiative of the Heart Foundation and the Department of Environment and Conservation and invites community members to participate in free walks led by volunteer guides from the 'Friends of' groups of each park.
