- Launch of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Report on Women and Heart Disease- Cardiovascular profile of women in Australia, in Canberra on 1 June 2010.
- A significant media partnership with Australian Consolidated Press, including Diamond Sponsorship of the 30 Days of Health and Wellbeing program
- Significant media and editorial coverage about women and heart disease in press, radio and TV, including ABC news, Today Show and Good Health magazine. Interim figures report 600 media items with a potential combined audience of 18,402,347
- Four national campaign sponsors participating in the campaign – AMP Capital Shopping Centres, Tetley, EA Sports and UNCLE TOBYS®
26 Go Red for Women events nationally including breakfasts, lunches, high teas and movie nights, attended by over 5,000 people
- Support from health professionals, researchers and community organisations to promote our messages and disseminate our campaign resources
- Collaboration with the Australian Local Government Women’s Association in the year of women in local government and announcement of a one-off award to recognise female leaders
- Extensive reach for our key messages around women and heart disease through our viral email which was distributed to over 130,000 people in Australia
- Four fold increase in calls to the Health Information Service, with people seeking information and resources
- Thousands of women around Australia wearing red on Go Red for Women Day on 11 June 2010
