Local Government Awards

Entries Now Closed

State award winners will be announced from the end of July to late October and national winners will be announced in early December.

Since these awards were established in 1992, the Heart Foundation has recognised thousands of programs that have contributed to the heart health of communities.

The Heart Foundation is pleased to continue to run the awards to provide an opportunity for Local Governments to celebrate their achievements and seek recognition for their valued contribution to creating healthy communities.

Programs that build community connections, encourage people to be physically active, be smoke free and make healthy food choices are encouraged to enter the Heart Foundation Local Government Awards.

Community groups, schools, health and community organisations and private industry who work with Local Government are strongly encouraged to enter these awards. The application MUST come from your Local Government.
