Expressions of interest

The Heart Foundation is seeking expressions of intest from health professionals to join the Clinical Issues Committee (CIC). 

Background of the comittee

The CIC is a sub-comittee to the peak cardiovascular health advisory group of the Heart Foundation National Board. The CIC advises and approves cardiovascular disease realated clinical content developed to support health professionals. CIC membership comprises up to 12 experts representing Australian cardivascular specialty areas spanning the cardiovascular patient journey. Membership of the CIC is on an Honorary basis for 4 years.

Who are we seeking?

The committee will comprise a mix of clinical practioners and academics with moderate to extensive experience. Representation of metropolitan, rural and remote practice is highly desirable.

What is required?

• Commit to a 4 year involvement (on an Honorary basis)
• Meet by teleconference 4-5 ties per year for up to 90 minutes per meeting
• One face to face meeting perannum (funded by the Heart Foundation)
• Declaration of any conflict of interest at all times
