Branxton Community Walkers
Braxton Community Walkers are new members of Heart Foundation Walking. The group commenced walking in March 2011in the Upper Hunter. The group may be small but their motivation has them walking three times a week regardless of rain, wind or cold weather. Thanks to the group’s enthusiasm and support, walking is a pleasure not a chore. Some members of the group have added a whole new dimension to walking and are using hiking poles. The poles reduce the impact on the lower body while also assisting with balance and stability. Thanks to the group and their own efforts they are becoming healthier.
