Peter Matruglio

Director, Chair, Risk Audit and Governance Committee (Committee Chair from 10 July 2023) & Member Investment Committee (from 10 July 2023)

Mr Peter Matruglio is an experienced professional with a proven track record of working with boards, executives and their teams to leverage finance, risk and business intelligence for competitive advantage.

He has over 35 years’ experience, including approximately 20 years as a partner with both Ernst & Young and Deloitte. Peter is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, an Australian CPA and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor with the University of Canberra Faculty of Business, Government and Law and a member of the NSW Chartered Accountants Advisory Group.

Our Board

The role of the Board is to provide strategic oversight and direction for the Heart Foundation’s activities and ensure that those organisational activities are directed towards achieving its vision of an Australia free of heart disease and its mission to prevent heart disease and improve the heart health and quality of life of all Australians through our work in prevention, support and care and research.
