Career Development Fellowships are the program's most prestigious awards. Recipients must be of an exceptional calibre with a proven track record of independent research.
The purpose of the Career Development Fellowship is to develop the career of Australian citizens or permanent residents, who are 2-12 years postdoctoral. These applicants are expected to have spent at least four years actively contributing to cardiovascular research. These researchers have demonstrated a long-term commitment to advancing our understanding of cardiovascular disease.
Career Development Fellowships are tenable for four years and may be full or part-time. Appointment as a Career Development Fellow is not renewable.
Heart Foundation/Office of Science and Medical Research (NSW) Career Development Award
This Career Development Fellowship is sponsored by the NSW Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN) and co-funded by the Heart Foundation and the NSW Government Office of Science and Medical Research.
The purpose of this Career Development Fellowship is to develop the career of Australian citizens or permanent residents in NSW, who are 2-12 years postdoctoral. Applicants are expected to have spent at least 2 years actively contributing to cardiovascular research in Australia and more specifically, New South Wales. The Fellowship carries a stipend of 4 x $100,000 per annum for four years commencing in 2010.
