Healthy Weight  

The Heart Foundation recognises that the prevalence of overweight and obesity is increasing in both developed and developing countries. In Australia, the latest data indicates the prevalence of overweight and obesity is increasing across the whole population.

As the leading non-government organisation (NGO) in cardiovascular health and a key agency in the overweight/obesity arena, the Heart Foundation has developed an Action Plan to guide its work in this area. Please click on the link under the 'Resources' heading to download a copy of this document.

Australian Obesity Summit - Policy, Prevention & Treatment

What is the food industry's role in consistenly providing healthier products and helping consumers make informed choices? Can it be innovative in addressing portion sizes, and reducing fat and kilojoule content?

A panel of experts, including Heart Foundation National Director for Healthy Weight, Susan Anderson, will discuss these and other relevant issues.
