Australian kids are not as healthy as they should be. Many are putting on excess weight and not losing it as they get older. Over the last 20 years, rates of overweight and obesity in children have risen greatly in many countries around the world, including Australia.
The Healthy Kids website, developed jointly by the Heart Foundation and the NSW Departments of Health, Education, and Sport and Recreation, gives tips on how to achieve a healthy lifestyle and includes links to other great information about this. There are also six fact sheets that have been translated into 10 different languages that you can download.
